What do you like most about the Lux series?

So, what do I like most about the Lux Series?

Well, that would have to be the progression of Daemon and Katy's relationship. It started out pretty rough and I'll admit, I didn't like Daemon at all at the beginning. The whole "hot and cold" thing turns me off. But, as the story progressed and they became more involved in each other's lives, I loved seeing how they complimented each other as individuals and as a couple, and how they fell in love. They have easily become one of my favorite YA couples ever and I love seeing them now, so trusting in each other and willing to overcome all odds to be together. I'm only hoping the final installment strengthens their relationship even more.

Opposition official blurb:

Katy knows the world changed the night the Luxen came. She can’t believe Daemon stood by as his kind threatened to obliterate every last human and hybrid on Earth. But the lines between good and bad have blurred.

Daemon will do anything to save those he loves, even if it means betrayal. But when it quickly becomes impossible to tell friend from foe, and the world is crumbling around them, they may lose everything to ensure the survival of their friends…and mankind.

Available on August 5th: Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble

Lux: Beginnings (Obsidian & Onyx) official Blurb:

Obsidian

There's an alien next door. And with his looming height and eerie green eyes, he's hot...until he opens his mouth. He's infuriating. Arrogant. Stabworthy. But when a stranger attacks me and Daemon literally freezes time with a wave of his hand, he lights me up with a big fat bullseye. Turns out he has a galaxy of enemies wanting to steal his abilities and the only way I’m getting out of this alive is by sticking close to him until my alien mojo fades. If I don’t kill him first, that is.

Onyx

Daemon’s determined to prove what he feels for me is more than a product of our bizarro alien connection. So I’ve sworn him off, even though he’s running more hot than cold these days. But we’ve got bigger problems. I’ve seen someone who shouldn’t be alive. And I have to tell Daemon, even though I know he’s never going to stop searching until he gets the truth. What happened to his brother? Who betrayed him? And what does the DOD want from them—from me?

Available now online, at Target, and bookstores: Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble

Lux: Consequences (Opal & Origin) official blurb:

Opal

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing alien hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Origin

Daemon will do anything to get Katy back. After the successful but disastrous raid on Mount Weather, he’s facing the impossible. Katy is gone. Taken. Everything becomes about finding her. But the most dangerous foe has been there all along, and when the truths are exposed and the lies come crumbling down, which side will Daemon and Katy be standing on? And will they even be together?

Available now online, at Target, and bookstores:Goodreads | Amazon | Barnes & Noble

  3. I love how Jennifer's Luxen world is how well-built and complex and how everything that is happening just falls in place. There are no questions that stay unanswered, sooner or later everything will come up. I love the characters because they are so relatable and I love their love for each other.
I love Daemon and Katy because they have such a long journey behind them and I loved every second of it walking it with them. I wish we could have them forever, or maybe that they were real people. I love Dawson and Bethany too because their love and relationship are what I imagine exactly for myself. I love how I can relate to Katy and I love how I can live in my teen years through them again.

  4. What I love about the Lux series are the fans. Honestly the fans of JLA are so awesome, but the Luxen fans are honestly the coolest. There's meme's, and cool teaser pictures and the community are so amazing. Everyone understands the obsession with Daemon and how we would all love to have Daemon babies. The community of fans who love the Lux series are honestly the most supportive and caring fans ever. You can always count of them and honestly they're the reason I got into blogging. So go Lux series fans I love you!

Love your answer by the way!

  8. What I love about the Lux Series? Well .. of course there's the love story between Katy and Daemon, and the really unique world JLA has created, this series holds a special place in my heart because this was the series that got me reading YA. Now some of my favorite books are YA! I'm really looking forward to Opposition (although the teasers have got me a bit nervous....)

    Great series. Recommended for all!

  10. The thing I love most about the Lux series is how easy it is to relate to all of the characters involved in the story Even though it takes place in this world where aliens live next door and mutate humans so the DOD is hiding around the corner, JLA still manages to make each character completely relatable to my real world self and my friends. I'm so much like Katy is ridiculous... If only I could find a beautiful alien boy next door to fall in love with! Haha.

  11. I love how much Katy and Daemon love and care about each other. Daemon may have tried to deny it at first (for perfectly understandable reasons) but the fact that he loves her so mucb despite why he shouldn't is amazing to me! They are one of my favorite love stories I've read about. I also love that Katy is a big reader. For someone like me, who also reads a lot, it's nice to see a character who reads and loves books, but is able to find the kind of romance she reads about in real life!

  12. What I love and adore about the Lux series is how entertaining and heart-touching every moment is throughout the story. Each character catches my attention whether I end up hating them aka Ash or loving them aka Luc. But most importantly, what I love about this series is Daemon Black. Daemon is life. Life is Daemon.

    Thank you!

  13. I love how Katy is a blogger, a book blogger just like me and even a friend pointed that out when she read the first book and told me that I should read it and that it reminded her of me. I Love/Hate Daemon for his cockyness, his wits and his luxen ability. .

  14. What I love about the Lux Series is the love between Daemon and Katy. They have gone through very rough things and yet they still loved each other, even though they wouldn't admit it at first. I love how they are a disaster together but when they are together they are just happy and the real caring Daemon comes out. Their love for each other is nothing that I have seen before, its just so intense and genuine. I love this about the Lux Series how their love seems to be real and never ending. I cant wait to read what happens to both of them in Opposition, I hope they end up together because a love like that should conquer anything. Thank you so much for this, my fingers are crossed.

  16. Everything. The relation between Daemon and Katy. The Dee Black's happiness. That Kat accepts everybody and that she feels that the differences make us better people. I love too the concept, there aren't vampires or werewolfes; there are aliens and its great, because its new and original. I love the responsability that Kat and Daemon have for their own families and for the people that really matters them. I love too Dee and Dawson and all the Black and Thompson family even Andrew and Ash, I love Adam :'( Whatever... I think that Luc and Paris are really great and funny. I love too the jokes between Kat and Daemon, them makes me laugh a lot. I can't wait to read the end. I love all the saga it's the best.
I probably felt in love with that saga. I need to find an alien family like this jaja.

  17. I LOVE everything about the Lux Series. The plot, the characters, the fact that this series could stand alone against any other book and win. I love the love between Daemon and Katy and the love for family. This series isn't a typical alien series, its original in so many levels. I love the silly comments that Daemon makes and how Katy isn't a typical heroine. I love how this book progresses so smoothly and how it never lets the reader get bored. The way that Jennifer has the ability to mix so many things together and still manage to not make it sloppy. The detail and the emotions in this series are so realistic, that its as if we were there with the characters and inside their heads. I especially love, the intense relationship that Daemon and Katy have together, its just so beautiful and perfect in their own way, its unique... it's realistic. The way they cant stand each other but know that one cannot live without the other both emotionally and literally. Daemon's and Katy's love is s strong that they are I feel like they can conquer many obstacles. I LOVE that their love is crazy yet beautiful at the same time, I love how they are crazy for each other and how they are crazy together. I cant wait to read the ending, although it will be very upsetting that the series has come to an end it will be wonderful to know how the story ends after all the struggles the characters had to overcome. It will be a bittersweet moment. I cant wait to be lured into their world for the last time.

  18. The Lux series is amazing!! I love every single chapter of every book!! I love how much Kat and Daemon love each other. Their relationship has had its ups and downs, but I've never doubted how much they love each other. They both realize they really can't live without the other. Kat is one of my all time favorite characters; she's funny and awkward; and she reads!! Reading these books is an opportunity of a lifetime and I will reread them a million times over and still love them!! I'm so excited for Opposition but I never want the series to end!! :)

  20. I only just yesterday one-clicked OBSIDIAN so don't have a proper response. But I'm a fan of JLA's other work and have heard so many good things about the Lux series (including the comments here) that I am sure I will continue with the other installments after finishing the first!

  21. What I love about Lux? Katy's strength and belief in herself. I look up to it. I just finished Obsidian yesterday and it was amazing. Dee and her humbleness is also great, she has these powers but manages to stay humble.
