A Lux Series Teaser

9:00 AM Vi Win Win 2 Comments

Forever the tease, Jen gives fans a funny and very sweet moment between Katy & Daemon talking about a particular creature that I've always adored:

I searched for a distraction. Anything. “Tell me something I don’t know.”
Several moments passed before she spoke. “I’ve always wanted a Mogwai.”
“What?” I pulled back just enough to see her face.
Kat’s lashes still fanned her cheeks, but she was smiling, and some of the pressure eased off my chest. “You’ve seen Gremlins, right? Remember Gizmo?” When I nodded, she laughed. The sound was hoarse, as if she hadn’t laughed in a while. Which, of course, she hadn’t. “Mom let me watch it when I was a kid and I was obsessed with Gizmo. I wanted one more than I wanted anything in the world. I even promised Mom that I wouldn’t feed it after midnight or get it wet.”
I rested my chin atop her head and grinned at the image of the little brown and white furball sprouting pods. The grin spread into a smile when I realized she wasn’t shaking anymore. “I don’t know.”
“What?” She burrowed closer, tucking her fingers against the collar of my shirt.
Tightening my hold on her, I closed my eyes for what felt like the first time in days. “If I had a Mogwai, I’d totally feed it after midnight. That mohawk gremlin was a badass.”
Kat laughed again, the sound tinkling inside me, and I felt about a thousand pounds lighter. “Why doesn’t that surprise me?” she said.

Have you seen the movie Gremlins? (I remember both movies being on a few fews ago and loved watching it again.) I LOVE Gizmo and seriously always wanted one myself. SO cute!

This is such a sweet scene between them and I'd love to know the context around this. Oh Jen, why do you do this to us?!

New Things on Deity Island

10:35 AM Vi Win Win 1 Comments

Hey all,

Just letting you know that I updated the Menu section above with all of Jen's books. There's as much information as I could find on all of them and I'll be updating them as more news comes in.

I also updated the links section to include all her books, extras, and again, will continue to update them as more links come in.

Jen's author page is complete with her blurb telling you a little more about her. I also moved the stuff about the Half-Blood Legion & the Deity Island blog bottons to the About page.

If you didn't notice, I recently added a new Quote of the Month and Poll of the Month, so be sure to check those out and let me know what you think! So far, Deity is in the lead (YES!) and since I recently read it, I can tell you, YOU WANT THIS BOOK!

ICYMI, the release date for Unchained was pushed back until early 2013 and Tempting the Player has been set to release on October 16th. All dates of Jen's upcoming books for 2012 are listed on the side and I'll update it with a TtP link once that goes live.

Don't forget, the Sept. JLA Reading Challenge is still underway and you don't want to miss out on winning some awesome prizes!

Next up, I'll be working on getting a new Header done and maybe even changing the whole look of the fansite. Gotta represent Jen & her books more!

Deity Teasers & Official Trailer Info

10:22 AM Vi Win Win 5 Comments

Jen recently tweeted a very heated teaser from Deity:

“Do you hear yourself?” I stopped in front of him, hands shaking. “How can you make that decision for other people—for Laadan and Marcus?” “Look,” he said, his hands rising into the air. “Get mad at me. Hit me. It doesn’t change anything.” I moved toward him, to push him but not actually hit him. “You can’t—” He caught both my wrists and hauled me into his lap, switching my wrists to one hand. He sighed. “I didn’t mean for you to actually hit me.” Too stunned to respond, I just stared at him. Our heads were only inches apart. My legs tangled with his, and then he reached up with his free hand, smoothing the mess of hair back from my face. My breath caught as my heart sped up. Our gazes locked, and his eyes turned to quicksilver.

Whew! Alex & Aiden really make me struggle to catch my breath. I love them so much!

Also, Jen tweeted some juicy teasers from the upcoming Deity trailer:

Alexandria Andros
I think she makes a very good Alex and she's also very pretty. I could totally see her playing Alex if the Covenant series ever became a movie, lol.

The song from the trailer -

A very mellow and sweet song, I like!

What do you all think about this?! Excited for the trailer? Can't wait to read Deity?!

Cover Reveal - Opal (Lux #3)

12:00 AM Vi Win Win 1 Comments

No one is like Daemon Black.

When he set out to prove his feelings for me, he wasn’t fooling around. Doubting him isn’t something I’ll do again, and now that we’ve made it through the rough patches, well... There’s a lot of spontaneous combustion going on.

But even he can’t protect his family from the danger of trying to free those they love.

After everything, I’m no longer the same Katy. I’m different... And I’m not sure what that will mean in the end. When each step we take in discovering the truth puts us in the path of the secret organization responsible for torturing and testing hybrids, the more I realize there is no end to what I’m capable of. The death of someone close still lingers, help comes from the most unlikely source, and friends will become the deadliest of enemies, but we won’t turn back. Even if the outcome will shatter our worlds forever.

Together we’re stronger... and they know it.

Happy Release Day to Cursed! Yay!

12:00 AM Vi Win Win 5 Comments

In case you didn't know, today is the official release day for Cursed by Jennifer Armentrout! Yay! I love her and her books so much!

Haven't heard about the book yet?

Dying sucks--and high school senior Ember McWilliams knows firsthand. After a fatal car accident, her gifted little sister brought her back. Now anything Ember touches dies. And that, well, really blows. Ember operates on a no-touch policy with all living things--including boys. When Hayden Cromwell shows up, quoting Oscar Wilde and claiming her curse is a gift, she thinks he’s a crazed cutie. But when he tells her he can help control it, she’s more than interested.

There’s just one catch: Ember has to trust Hayden's adopted father, a man she's sure has sinister reasons for collecting children whose abilities even weird her out. However, she’s willing to do anything to hold her sister's hand again. And hell, she'd also like to be able to kiss Hayden. Who wouldn't? But when Ember learns the accident that turned her into a freak may not've been an accident at all, she’s not sure who to trust. Someone wanted her dead, and the closer she gets to the truth, the closer she is to losing not only her heart, but her life. For real this time.

Oh, and have you seen the trailer?

In celebration for this momentous occasion, I thought I'd share with you who I'd cast to play some of the important characters of the book, if it were ever made into a movie.

Emma Stone as Ember

Derek Theler as Hayden

Dermot Mulroney as Jonathan Cromwell

What do you think of my picks?!

Spencer Hill Press is also holding a fantastic giveaway with some pretty awesome prizes like a $25 Amazon gift card, a copy of Cursed, swag, and so much more! Be sure to enter to win via the Rafflecopter form below!

#JLARC Updates

10:46 PM Vi Win Win 0 Comments

After the news about Unchained's release date being pushed back until 2013, I had to make a couple changes to this month's JLA Reading Challenge.

For the most part, things are still the same, the only difference being that the top prize is now going to be ONE of THREE ebook copies of Tempting the Player, which will be released on October 16th. Still an excellent series and if you've read Tempting the Best Man, you won't want to miss this one!

All the changes have been updated on the Sept. post, the intro post and on the JLARC page. And since we all obviously can't read Unchained next month, I'll be putting Tempting the Player in its place. Even though it's apart of the Gamble Brothers series, and that's supposed to be December's challenge, but since changes happen, you just gotta make do with what you got. I still wanted to keep up the monthly challenge, so this will have to do!

The Cursed reading challenge has just started and the official release date is tomorrow so be sure to grab your copy, get reading, and write those reviews!

There will be a live author chat tentatively scheduled for the end of this month/early next month, so stay tuned for more news on that

If you have any questions, just let me know in the comments or via email!

Quite a Few Updates! Opal! Unchained! Gamble Brothers!

10:41 PM Vi Win Win 2 Comments

Well, I've got some good news and some bad news.

The good news is that the cover of Opal, Book 3 in the Lux series, will be revealed on Sept. 21st! Yay! I can't wait to see the finished cover in all its glory. And Jen even gave fans a little teaser to hold us all over until that day.

Also, if you're a blogger, you can take part in the cover reveal madness! Pretty sweet! Just send an email to Jen's publicist, Stacey at soneale(at)entangledpublishing.com. Be sure to include your blog address and email address in the email. Not only will you get to take part in this epic event, you'll also be entered to win an ARC of Opal, which I hear will be a rare commodity! Eeeepppp!!!!

Jen also posted some juicy Opal teasers recently and a fan made some even juicier pictures out of them! Love it!

Next up, Tempting the Player, Book 2 in the Gamble Brothers series has a release date set for October 16th! The Gamble Brothers series is Jen's adult romance series under her pen name, J. Lynn. It's good, trust me! I seriously can't wait to read this one because those Gamble brothers are HOT! This one is about Chad and Bridget and I'm excited to dive back into this world.

And now for the bad news. As you can see, Tempting the Player is set for October 20th, which was suppsoed to be the release date for Jen's upcoming novel, Unchained, her adult nephilim book. But, alas, this one has been pushed back until the Winter/Spring 2013 season (early next year). Total bummer, I know! I really wanted to see what this one was all about. Jen talks about the issues behind the change on her blog and I can see her and the publisher's reasoning. We still love you guys and can't wait for this book!!!

Someone wanted her dead, and the closer she gets to the truth, the closer she is to losing not only her heart, but her life.

Congrats to all the winners! Emails have been sent out and you have 48 hours to respond.
